Kohlrabi Recipes

Kohlrabi Fritters

  • 2 medium Kohlrabi peeled and grated 
  • 2 medium Carrots peeled and grated 
  • 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Oil for frying
Using a dish towel squeeze out excess moisture from the carrots and kohlrabi. Mix carrots and kohlrabi with the remaining ingredients.  Heat a 2 TBS of oil in a large frying pan. Pat into fritters and fry in oil till golden brown on each side.

Kohlrabi  Lime Slaw

  • 1 medium kohlrabi peeled and grated
  • 1/2 medium beetroot, peeled and grated
  • 1 red apple skin on and grated
  • Large handful flat leaf parsley, roughly chopped
  • the juice of 1 lime
  • 2 TBS extra virgin olive oil
  • fine sea salt, to taste

Combine everything in a large bowl, season well with fine sea salt and serve immediately.
